I’m an arts journalist, theatre critic and academic.
My journalism has been published in The Guardian, The Stage, Exeunt, Time Out, IdeasTap, UK Theatre Magazine (previously Prompt), The Space, WhatsOnStage and Fest Magazine. I have also contributed to the TheatreVoice podcast.
I am currently a Lecturer in Theatre in the School of Arts and Creative Technologies at the University of York. You can read more about my teaching experience here. My research interests include contemporary British theatre, ecodramaturgy, and the relationship between text and performance. You can find out more about my academic research and publications here.
I have spoken on panels and run workshops for theatres including the National Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Royal Exchange Theatre, Theatre Royal Winchester, Salisbury Playhouse, Lighthouse Poole, London Bubble and Z-Arts. Some examples of my public engagement activities can be found here.
